It must have killed Cowboys owner Jerry Jones if he happened to see the sign in the Lambeau Field crowd last night that read, "See You In Dallas In February." That 's because the Packers, who improved to 6-3 after trampling the Cowboys 45-7, have a decent chance of playing in Super Bowl XLV in Jones' opulent 2-year-old palace on Feb. 6 while the season can't be over soon enough for Dallas, which sunk to 1-7 after losing a fifth straight game.Being the object of mockery is especially painful for Jones, among the cockiest men in the exclusive club of very wealthy men who own NFL franchises. After all, Jones' Cowboys are "America's Team" even though they have won just one playoff game since 1996. Eighteen of Dallas' rivals have played in the 14 Super Bowls since Dallas claimed its third title in four years in January 1996. Among the Cowboys' 15 fellow NFC members, only downtrodden Detroit hasn't had more postseason success than Dallas since Bill Clinton's second inaugural.
Asked after the shellacking by the Packers if he could put a finger on what has happened to his team which returned 22 starters from last year's NFC East champions, Jones said sadly, "I can't put my finger on it, because I don't have enough fingers."
