Kyle Orton's Status in Question; Tim Tebow May Start Week 15

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- Kyle Orton's bruised ribs are limiting him in practice, raising the possibility that rookie Tim Tebow could be thrust into the lineup for his first career start on Sunday against the Oakland Raiders.

Orton took part in warm-ups and several individual drills on Thursday during the portion of practice open to the media. He did not appear to move very well and threw only a handful of passes on the side, rather than in a drill to a group of receivers. Those chores were handled by Tebow and third-team quarterback Brady Quinn.

Orton previously was held out of team drills on Wednesday, leaving Tebow to take the bulk of the first-team practice repetitions for the first time this season. Quinn also took more reps than usual.
