The Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions were playing for nothing other than last place in the NFC North on Sunday, and the game was notable mostly for a player who didn't play: Vikings quarterback Brett Favre, inactive because of concussion symptoms.But the game should also be noteworthy for the way the Lions closed out the season -- the 20-13 victory was Detroit's fourth straight win, and four-game winning streaks have been unthinkable for the Lions over the last decade. Detroit and Minnesota both finish the season at 6-10, which is a major disappointment for the Vikings and a major achievement for the Lions.
