Woody Peoples, a key member of the
Philadelphia Eagles' offensive line on their 1980 NFC title-winning team and a two-time Pro Bowl selection, died Tuesday in his hometown of Birmingham, Ala.
Peoples, who was 67, played 168 games over 13 seasons in the
NFL, following two years of service in the U.S. Army and a collegiate career at Grambling. After his rookie NFL season, when he was a reserve, Peoples made 153 of 155 possible starts.
