Mike Sellers is the Washington Redskins' starting fullback. One of the few NFL players who didn't attend a four-year college, the product of Walla Walla (Wash.) Community College and the Canadian Football League loves to block, catch passes and get the occasional carry. But age 35, Sellers still prides himself on his special teams tackles. It's after one of those big hits that the 6-foot-3, 272-pound Sellers flexes his muscles for the fans and hopes he has earned the Big Stick Award given after each victory to the Redskin who has delivered the most crunching blow on special teams. While Washington's biggest challenges through six weeks have mostly come on defense -- Andre Johnson, Steven Jackson, Michael Vick, Aaron Rodgers and Peyton Manning -- this Sunday, the Redskins' No. 1 headache is Chicago's Devin Hester, who last week tied the all-time record with his 13th return touchdown.
"He tied Brian Mitchell's record right?," said Sellers, who played his first two seasons in Washington alongside Mitchell. "And he did it in how many less games (157)? Obviously, he's one of the best to ever play the game. It's a combination of speed and just a feel for the game, knowing where to hit the (correct hole). And obviously knowing how to make people miss which he's great at. He can change the game."
