Panthers vs. Falcons Preview, Score and More

It seems unthinkable, but the Falcons' glittering season could be left in ruins late Sunday afternoon. Atlanta is 12-3 and needs a win over Carolina (2-13) to get a bye and sew up home field advantage for the playoffs.

A loss and the Falcons could end up as a wild card and on the road for three weeks.

It can't happen, can it?

Sure it can happen, but it is not likely. One of the hallmarks of this Atlanta team has been its professional reliability. The Falcons do not create distractions for themselves or wilt with pressure.

The Panthers may provide a test early on because this is the last game for coach John Fox. He is a players' coach and there is going to be some sentiment to give him a going away present.
