Classic YouTube | US Open memories, a football scooligan and the Lego Rugby World Cup

This week's round-up also features a baseballer using his head, a pooch doing the Poznan and water cycling from Japan

1) The US Open starts this weekend, so it's a perfect opportunity to look back at some of the tournament's memorable moments ? a suffering Pete Sampras chucking up in a fifth set tie-break against Alex Corretja in 1996 before going on to win, the 1980 final between Bjorn Borg and John McEnroe and, for British fans, Fred Perry winning the title back in the 1930s. Take that Wilmer L Allison!

2) Never, we repeat never, tempt fate at a football match. But always, we repeat always, take your dog and get it to do 'the Poznan'.

3) Lasith Malinga was in full flow for Sri Lanka this week, taking yet another hat-trick, this one against Australia.

4) Probably not one to watch in the office this ? Getafe's promotional pre-season video featuring "hot zombies from space". Last season's effort was based on a suicidal koala and in 2008-09 they had a troll in a barn. Atltico Madrid have fine form in this regard too.

5) As you may have seen elsewhere on these pages, Edinson Cavani 'scored' one of the great disallowed goals on Monday. Our call for Cavani's competitors brought some beauties below the line ? Karl-Heinz Rummenigge's flying volley, Andy Gray's sumptuous chip, Rob Lee's strike from his own half, and, perhaps best of all, Michel Platini's stunning turn and strike. Just think - all those great strikes won't appear in the record books, but this will.

6) This is rather hypnotic (and for a good cause) - a Thai tribute to Celtic's Joe Ledley.

Our favourites from last week's blog

1) What do you call a hooligan on a mobility scooter? A scooligan?

2) Everyone loves those Lego videos, don't they. Don't they? Ah. Anyway, here's a perky brick-based take on the forthcoming rugby World Cup.

3) This week's miss of the week, courtesy of Atsushi Yanagisawa.

4) This week's Japanese sport of the week: water cycling.

5) Those who know their baseball will know a "triple play" involves the fielding team taking three batters out in one fell swoop. It's even more impressive if you can do it using your head.

6) Phillipe Senderos displays an intimate knowledge of Joey Barton's on-field tactics.
