Video: D.C. sports anchor knows what caused the earthquake

When this clip of Washington, D.C., sports anchor Michael Jenkins making an earthquake joke about Albert Haynesworth first appeared in my inbox, I ignored it. Surely this would be a rehash of a lame, recycled joke that had already been made thousands of times on Twitter. When more people started to link to it, I finally relented.

My instincts were right; the joke was nothing special. However, the delivery and, more accurately, the commitment to the delivery resulted in 45 seconds of local sports broadcast perfection.

In fairness to Haynesworth, the earthquake probably wasn't his fault. We all know he spends most of his time lying on the ground, not stomping on it.
