Ravens rookie receiver Torrey Smith was born in Virginia, played college ball at Maryland and is now returning kicks in Baltimore. Like most East Coasters, when the earth starts moving underneath him for no apparent reason, it upsets him.
Tuesday, when the earthquake hit in Virginia, Smith was filming a promotional ad for his alma mater. Here's how that went:

In fairness to Smith, all he claimed to have was Maryland pride. He never said anything about Maryland earthquake preparedness.
As Deadspin points out, Smith was in about the safest place imaginable, standing in the middle of an open field. Where he was off to, I couldn't tell you. Sometimes, all a fellow can think to do is run. Run like hell, whether it makes sense or not.
