Washington Redskins linebacker coach Lou Spanos is the guy in the yellow shirt giving the rabbit-with-fangs play-call to his defense. We're going to assume that it's because he, Jim Haslett, Brian Orakpo, DeAngelo Hall and Dan Snyder are in a book club together and recently read the 1979 children's favorite "Bunnicula," about a vampire rabbit, then implemented the signal into their playbook. No other explanation will be accepted, so don't even bother to ask, Steinberg.
Based on the play that followed, we're going to assume "Bunnicula" is the signal for linebackers to feign blitz and then retreat, sort of like in "The Celery Stalks at Midnight" when Bunnicula snuck out of the garage in the middle of the night to eat the carrot cake for the school play. Lovable scamp!
