The San Francisco 49ers got a couple of bits of bad news before their important game against the Seattle Seahawks ? both linebacker Patrick Willis and receiver/returner Tedd Ginn, Jr. are inactive. Ginn made most of the difference last time these two teams faced off ? in San Francisco's 33-17 Week 1 win against the Seahawks at home, Ginn pulled off a 102-yard kick return and 55-yard punt return for touchdown in the fourth quarter.
And with Asante Samuel out for the Philadelphia Eagles against the Dallas Cowboys, expect nickel cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie to start opposite Nnamdi Asomugha. As good as Samuel is, the fact that he only plays off corner on the Eagles' defensive left side might give the Eagles more opportunity to play press man on both sides of the formation in this case.
Here are all the late-game inactives; thanks as always to Brian McIntyre of Mac's Football Blog for the info!
