Tom Brady used an illegal stream to watch Super Bowl XLV

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell may not be so pleased to hear how New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady watched Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers win the Super Bowl in 2011. Still rehabbing his foot, Brady watched an illegal stream of the game online. From masslive.com:

"Last year, I was rehabbing my foot in Costa Rica watching the game on an illegal Super Bowl website and now I'm actually playing in the game, so it's pretty cool," Brady said.

Whoops! The NFL has gone to great lengths to stop piracy and illegal streams, even supporting the controversial SOPA legislation.

Brady made around $588,000 per game, plus his wife Gisele Bundchen is a gajillionaire supermodel. (OK, she's worth $150 million which is still a whole lot of money.) You would think they could find a legal stream and pay for it, but that option was not available last year.

The game will be streamed online legally for the first time ever this weekend, so take note, quarterbacks not in the Super Bowl. If you're sitting on a beach in Costa Rica, you can watch the game legally.
