Green Bay?s Randall Cobb, first NFL player born in 1990s, tears it up in rookie debut

Ready to feel just a bit older than you did before? Check this little factoid out.

Green Bay Packers rookie Randall Cobb, the team's second-round pick out of Kentucky, is the first person born in the 1990s to play in an NFL game. That's right ? the 5-foot-10, 191-pound 2011 junior was born on Aug. 22, 1990, just a year before the beginning of the career of New Orleans Saints kicker John Kasay. Kasay was on the wrong side of the Packers' 42-34 season-opening win, and Cobb made all the difference in his first regular-season NFL game.

(Yes, we know that Dallas' Tyron Smith was born in December of 1990, but he hasn't played in a regular-season game yet. )

Back to Cobb. The man who amassed 980 kick return yards and no touchdowns in his entire collegiate career, went off on this breathtaking 108-yard return touchdown halfway through the third quarter:

Theplay tied the NFL's distance record for a kick return.

And that wasn't all --Cobb caught a 32-yard touchdown pass from the white-hot Aaron Rodgers with just 11 seconds left in the first quarter.

All of that in Cobb's first game? If he's any indication of the class that's coming out of his decade soon, we are in for some kind of football.

"It was amazing," he said after the game. "The feeling of being in Lambeau Field and just having all of the guys around me coming off of the Super Bowl and just trying to do anything I can to contribute, and I certainly tried to make the most of my opportunities tonight."

Of course, Cobb is no stranger to the concept of coming up big in big moments ? in Kentucky's 37-34 heartbreaking loss to eventual national champs Auburn last October, Cobb caught a touchdown pass, threw for another, and rushed for two more.
