With their sixth road win in seven tries last week at the New York Jets, the Dolphins kept their playoff hopes alive and welcome Buffalo for the first of back-to-back home games at Sun Life Stadium. So far this season that stadium has not been kind to the home team, as a 1-5 record there will show, but Miami's defense has found a rhythm and ranks fifth overall in the NFL behind league sack leader Cameron Wake and a stout front seven. The Bills have gone 3-2 since their bye week and their 0-8 start, with quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick moving the offense well with his arms and his legs. But he is without two of his top receivers -- Lee Evans and Roscoe Parrish, both who are in Injured Reserve -- so he'll have to rely in Stevie Johnson and a cast of unknowns at wide receiver in the passing game. Running backs Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller are always dangerous weapons, but the Dolphins kept them in check the first time around in the season opener up in Buffalo (26 combined rushing yards).
Miami's offense has sputtered since hitting it stride in a 33-17 road win at the Oakland Raiders three weeks ago and quarterback Chad Henne is hoping to bounce back with the addition of veteran wide receiver Kevin Curtis, who was diagnosed with testicular cancer this summer and was signed by the team last week to replace Brian Hartline after Hartline went on IR. Brandon Marshall returned from a hamstring injury to catch his second touchdown of the season against the Jets.
