The Minnesota Vikings may add two recently fired head coaches to their staff of assistants for the 2011 season.Josh McDaniels, who was fired by the Broncos during the 2010 season, and Mike Singletary, who was fired by the 49ers a few weeks after McDaniels got canned, are both slated to interview for a spot on the staff of Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier, ESPN is reporting.
It's not clear exactly what position on the coaching staff each man is being considered for. McDaniels probably wouldn't take any job other than offensive coordinator, so that's probably what Frazier is talking to McDaniels about. But the Vikings already have an offensive coordinator in Darrell Bevell. That might mean Frazier is planning to fire Bevell and move away from the West Coast-style that the Vikings have used and implement a spread-out style more like the one that McDaniels has run in New England and Denver.
