Many people think New Orleans is going to win in a walk on Saturday in Seattle. The Seahawks, after all, are 7-9. The Saints are 11-5.But New Orleans is going to sweat Saturday on the road. Quarterback Drew Brees knows this. The Saints have flaws. They have been inconsistent running the ball and they have turned it over. Not threatened by the run game, opponents have brought pressure and forced mistakes.
Brees recognizes the flaws and how strengths in 2009 have become question marks in 2010.
"For us, it's about execution, picking-up their pressure, trying to run the football effectively, and taking care of the ball," Brees said. "We need to do all of those things."
The Saints have gone from third in the NFL in turnover margin (plus-11) in 2009 to 23rd in 2010 (minus-6).
