The Rams play the Seahawks in Seattle Sunday night knowing that a win gives them the NFC West title and sets up a home game in the first round of the playoffs.
"It's going to be awesome,'' Rams middle linebacker James Laurinatis told the St. Louis media after the Rams beat San Francisco 25-17 Sunday, eliminating San Francisco from the playoff chase. "A win-and-you're-in kind of situation is what you play for and I'm excited about it. I'm looking forward to it.''
He should be. All of St. Louis should be. This is a team that was an NFL-worst 1-15 last year and 6-42 the last three seasons combined. The Rams are 7-8 in 2010, which admittedly isn't Herculean, but that's better than the 6-9 Seahawks, who will make the playoffs if they beat the Rams and both teams finish at 7-9.
