Richard Seymour iRichard Seymournked a two-year, $30 million contract extension with the Oakland Raiders that makes him the NFL's highest-paid defensive player, according to NFL.com. The six-time Pro Bowler and three-time Super Bowl champion tallied 48 tackles and 5 1/2 sacks in 2010, and has notched 48 1/2 sacks for his career.

Seymour, 31, would have become a free agent heading into this especially uncertain offseason, but now will return to an Oakland squad on the upswing in 2011 -- assuming NFL teams take the field.
