In news that could force some of his fellow NFL players to eat some crow, Bears quarterback Jay Cutler has reportedly been diagnosed with a torn knee ligament suffered in Sunday's NFC Championship Game loss to the Packers.Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports that Cutler has an MCL tear.
Cutler was harshly criticized for leaving the NFC Championship Game, and the harshest of that criticism came from Cutler's fellow NFL players, many of whom took to Twitter during the game and ripped Cutler to shreds for not playing when the Super Bowl was on the line. If Cutler does indeed have a torn knee ligament, that would seem to be a valid reason not to play, and one would think it would improve Cutler's reputation among his fellow players.
