Of the record 32 quarters that the Pittsburgh Steelers have played in the Super Bowl, not many have been worse than the first two on Sunday night in Dallas. After a rocky first half in which quarterback Ben Roethlisberger threw two interceptions, the Steelers have rallied in the third quarter of Super Bowl XLV and trail the favored Green Bay Packers 21-17.

Later in the half, Roethlisberger threw a second interception that set up a Packers score to make the score 21-3. The Steelers cut the deficit to 21-10 at halftime after a late touchdown pass from Roethlisberger to Hines Ward, and Rashard Mendenhall scored on an eight-yard run early in the third quarter to make it 21-17.
No team has ever come from a two-touchdown deficit to win the Super Bowl. Pittsburgh's chances at bucking history are aided by the injury to former NFL defensive player of the year Charles Woodson. The Packers' cornerback suffered a shoulder injury in the first half and is out for the game. He appeared on the sideline at the start of the second half dressed in street clothes and wearing a sling.
