Both the Chargers and the Chiefs had major changes in their starting lineups for their divisional showdown Sunday due to injuries.Brodie Croyle started at quarterback for the Chiefs in place of Matt Cassel, who was out after undergoing an appendectomy last Wednesday. It's the first action of the season for Croyle, who is 0-9 as a starter.
Fullback Mike Cox also started ahead of Tim Castille at fullback for the Chiefs.
The Chargers were without star tight end Antonio Gates, who was among the inactives because of continuing problems with a torn plantar fascia in his right foot.
