The Jacksonville Jaguars may take a while to recover from their most recent loss.The Jaguars, who had a chance to clinch their first AFC South title in Indianapolis Sunday, instead lost to the defending AFC and AFC South champion Colts, 34-24 and spent part of Monday very much lamenting an opportunity squandered.
Not only did right tackle Jordan Black tell Tania Ganguli of the Florida Times-Union it was the sort of victory that takes a "lifetime" to get over, Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew said he "pretty much wanted to cry" afterward.
"Fans were hungry for it," Ganguli reported Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio saying via Twitter. "They sent us off in grand fashion.
"The guys loved that. We wanted very much to bring this thing home."
Added Del Rio via Mark Long of the Associated Press, "Woulda, coulda, shoulda doesn't get it."
