One is that he likes a heavy workload.
The other is that he likes winning more. So if he carries the ball less this Sunday at Arizona and the Rams beat the Cardinals, he'll take it.
With Sam Bradford at quarterback, the Rams are moving the ball better than ever during Jackson's time with the team. It's meant more of a balanced St. Louis attack, and that's meant fewer carries for Jackson.
"At this point now, I understand that a lot of my role is to keep a defense honest,'' Jackson told the Rams' media. "That's not to say I'm not going to play hard or be the back I know I can be. But the (opposition) game play is to stop our running game first.
"I'd love to have 100 yards. I'd love to have big games. But at the same time, if the defense is that focused on the running game, I think we come out with a win already, and now we just have to execute through the air.''
