Napoleon Complex? Not for Falcons, Who Keep Standing Tall

Matt RyanTAMPA, Fla. -- If the NFL were a police lineup, Atlanta could mug everybody. Nobody would notice the Falcons because they're too short.

So feel free to overlook Atlanta's 28-24 win over Tampa Bay. The Fox network pretty much did on Sunday, and everybody else's gaze went to the Jets-Patriots on Monday night.

But if you look closely enough, you'll notice the Falcons have the NFL's best record. They must be doing something right -- even if nobody wants to watch it, or even admit it.

"I wouldn't say they're a better team," Bucs quarterback Josh Freeman said. "They just found a way to win."

That's what they always say about teams like Atlanta. You look at the roster and don't see many stars. They rarely blow anybody out.

Is it any wonder Tom Brady's hair plug dilemma has gotten more attention than Atlanta's 10 wins? Frankly, I don't blame Fox for largely ignoring Sunday's game.
