Brandon Marshall Missing in Action At Dolphins' Practice

Brandon MarshallDAVIE, Fla. -- Considering the awkward schedule for the Miami Dolphins following last Thursday night's 16-0 home loss to the Chicago Bears, the fact that wide receiver Brandon Marshall was not seen Monday morning during the portion of practice open to the media should not be too alarming. He injured his hamstring late in the first half against the Bears and did not return to the game.

However, he also was missing in action after the game inside the locker room, although he did honor his weekly commitment to "The Michael Irvin Show" last Friday on 560-WQAM. When pressed about his health, Marshall deferred to Dolphins' coach Tony Sparano, but he did admit the 15-yard unsportsmanlike penalty he earned for tossing the football to Bears' quarterback Jay Cutler after his 14-yard catch was not the smartest decision.

"That was a boneheaded move by me. It cost our team some yardage and I wish I can have that play back," Marshall told Irvin. "I let a lot of people down. We all took our turns in stalling our team, myself included. [I] dropped two balls and got a dumb penalty fooling around with Jay Cutler. That's not acceptable, especially in a game like that. We were all disappointed."
