Matt Moore, the Carolina Panthers' starting quarterback, is out for the season with a torn right labrum in his throwing shoulder. The Panthers are 1-7 and their season just grew a little dimmer, if that is possible.Carolina will now likely turn the offense over to rookie quarterback Jimmy Clausen. The former Notre Dame star started three games earlier in the season for the Panthers and has seen action in six total contests. He's thrown just one TD pass and four interceptions. Fellow rookie Tony Pike is another option for the struggling Panthers.
"The two quarterbacks on the roster, we'll take a look at them this week and decide who gives us the best chance to win," coach John Fox said.
