Josh Freeman is still just 22 years old. Sunday's game was just his 16th as an NFL starter. However, the kid from Kansas State is playing like the best young quarterback that Tampa Bay has had since Doug Williams was learning the ropes more than 30 years ago.

Freeman brought the Bucs back from an early deficit and led them to a 38-35 victory at Arizona, moving them into a tie for the NFC's best record. He connected with rookie receiver Mike Williams on the 47-yard touchdown that tied the score in the second quarter and began a 24-point tear for the visitors. After a 45-yard interception return by cornerback Aqib Talib put them ahead, Freeman led the Bucs on consecutive scoring marches of 80 and 94 yards that extended their margin to 31-14 in the third quarter.

Bucs second-year coach Raheem Morris gambled by going for it on fourth-and-1 at his own 45 with just 7:10 left and his team trailing 34-31. Freeman picked up the yard on a sneak and then immediately connected with rookie receiver Arrelious Benn on a pass to the Arizona 1. Rookie running back LeGarrette Blount scored the game-winning touchdown on the next play.
