For football fans of a certain age or those of us who have only seen the game on film with John Facenda intoning, "Upon the frozen tundra ...," Dallas at Green Bay summons memories of the dramatic "Ice Bowl" showdown in the NFL championship game on New Year's Eve 1967. And in the minus-40 degree wind chill, Vince Lombardi's Packers prevailed 21-17 in the final seconds of what would prove to be the legendary coach's farewell to Lambeau Field. That was the first time that the Cowboys had played at Green Bay since their 1960 expansion season, but it also started an unusual pattern of frustration for one of the NFL's powerhouses. Dallas was 3-2 against the Packers in Milwaukee, but lost at Lambeau in 1989, 1997, and 2004 before finally breaking through in 2008 with Wisconsin native/longtime Packers fan Tony Romo at quarterback. Romo returned to Green Bay again last season but lost 17-7, dropping the Cowboys to 1-6 at Green Bay.
