David Garrard Emerges As The AFC's Leading Passer

Week by week, Jacksonville Jaguars' quarterback David Garrard may be changing people's minds.

And that pace actually may be quickening a bit.

Never mind Garrard's highlight play from Sunday - a 50-yard, final-play, Hail Mary touchdown to Mike Thomas that gave the Jaguars a 31-24 victory over the Houston Texans - even before that play, Garrard had had a game to remember.

This all came after a particularly solid month for the oft-criticized veteran.

Garrard, who struggled enough early in the season that speculation that he might lose his starting job to first Luke McCown and then newly-acquired Trent Edwards seemed reasonable, completed his final 14 passes of the game, which means he completed 13 consecutive passes before the game-ending miracle.
