Andre Johnson Ankle Injury Update: Misses Practice, but Could Play Week 9

Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson didn't practice on Wednesday.

But Texans coach Gary Kubiak said not only isn't that unusual, it doesn't mean Johnson won't play when Houston plays host to the San Diego Chargers Sunday.

Johnson, who has played through a high-ankle sprain much of the season, aggravated the injury in a loss to the Colts this past Monday. He left the game on the final series, but Kubiak said Johnson seems no worse than a week ago.

The perennial Pro Bowl receiver has played several times this season after missing practice Wednesdays.
