Brett FavreThings couldn't get much worse for the Vikings.

Booed heavily by the home crowd after struggling for much of the day, Minnesota rallied to pull out a 27-24 win over the Cardinals in overtime.

Embattled Vikings head coach Brad Childress probably couldn't help but hear the "Fire Childress'' chants that popped up from time to time.

But all that changed in the final 2:33 when QB Brett Favre led an 80-play drive to get the equalizing touchdown on a 25-yard pass to Visanthe Shiancoe.

And in the overtime, the Vikings' defense came up big, forcing one incompletion by Derek Anderson and two sacks of the Cardinals' quarterback, who had been having a good day to that point.

RB Adrian Peterson burned the Cardinals for 30 yards on the Vikings' first possession of the overtime, getting the ball to the Arizona 39. But a subsequent 5-yard Peterson gain was negated by a holding penalty on Anthony Herrera.
