Rookie wide receiver Jacoby Ford is poised to make his first start for the Raiders on Sunday when they play the Seattle Seahawks in Oakland.

Ford has played primarily special teams through the first seven games of the season but is moving into the starting lineup in place of Louis Murphy, the Raiders' leading receiver who has been declared out of the game because of a deep chest bruise that's over one of his lungs.

Murphy was injured last Sunday when he collided with teammate Marcel Reece near the sideline as both of them attempted to catch a pass during the Raiders' 59-14 win at Denver.

Another of the Raiders' young receivers, Nick Miller, also could see significant action.
